World Krill Day Youth Webinar: Krill, Climate, Peace, and the Future of Antarctica
To mark World Krill Day (August 11), the Climate Ocean Research Institute (CORI), Friends of the Earth Japan, and Agenda Antártica (AANT), with the support of the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition (ASOC), are organizing an international youth webinar that brings together science, storytelling, and youth perspectives on the future of Antarctica.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the ecological relationship between whales and Antarctic krill from marine scientist Dr. Matthew Savoca, discover Antarctica through the photography and storytelling of John Weller, hear reflections from young people in China, Japan, and Korea, and engage in a live discussion on climate change, marine conservation, and international cooperation.
