The ICAN Rose from Hiroshima

May 26, 2020

The ICAN Rose was specially created by Mr Tagashira Kazuzo, a Hibakusha who survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima 75 years ago. Inspired by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017 for its contribution to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, Mr Tagashira's rose petals symbolise collaboration of people around the world, blooming in hope for the #nuclearban.
