Volunteer Information Session in Tokyo!

Feb 19, 2019

Every year, Peace Boat recruits volunteers for our global voyages and work on land at our office in Tokyo. Would you like to travel around the world with us or support Peace Boat's activities on land?

There are currently two types of onboard volunteer opportunities:

*Volunteer Interpreter: Become the bridge between the passengers and the local people. Challenge yourself interpreting events and lectures on board as well as at tourism and cultural exchange programmes in ports.

*Onboard Language Teacher: Equip students with immediate language tools through group and private lessons, language events, and exciting in-port challenges.

There are also two types of volunteer opportunities on land:

*Volunteer at Peace Boat Center: Help packing and sending out letters or preparing materials for voyage participants and Peace Boat events.

*Intern: Support Peace Boat's activities from the office in Tokyo. Conduct research on topics related to sustainability, education, and peace, and help organize events and other Peace Boat activities.

At this event, we are going to focus on the two onboard positions and the intern position. We will explain more about the kind of work you can do as a volunteer, the requirements, and more importantly, all the great things about volunteering with Peace Boat. You will be able to meet previous volunteers and learn more about their experiences on board or on land as well as how their Peace Boat volunteer experience influenced their lives. There will be plenty of chances to ask questions, too!

Feel free to come if you are interested in Peace Boat, would like to go on a voyage, or simply are looking for a way to contribute your time to something meaningful!
