Notice regarding Peace Boat visit to Hiroshima, August 6
Due to the typhoons no.8 (Francisco) and no.9 (Lekima) currently approaching Japan, Peace Boat's open ship planned to take place in Hiroshima on August 6 (Tuesday) has regretfully been cancelled.
According to the Captain of Peace Boat's vessel, the Ocean Dream, the ship continued its course towards Hiroshima, but due to orders from the Hiroshima Coast Guard Office it did not dock as planned on the evening of August 5, and instead is anchored in a safe location within the port of Hiroshima. Once the typhoon warning is lifted on the afternoon of August 6 (Tuesday), the ship will enter the port of Hiroshima.
Although it had previously announced that some changes may be made, the A-bombed piano concert will take place as planned on the evening of August 6 (details here).
