Overview

Every year, Peace Boat organizes three Global Voyages and two East Asia Regional Voyages. The Global Voyages are three-month round-the-world cruises, each visiting around 20 countries and carrying 1000 participants.

Peace Boat voyages create a unique environment in which people can live, learn and relax together while visiting some of the most fascinating regions on earth. During each voyage, Peace Boat organizes a range of educational activities, including lectures by guest educators, workshops, language classes, and cultural programmes. The themes of these activities link Peace Boat’s fields of work with contemporary issues in the countries it visits, connecting participants with people around the world.

120th Global Voyage

Cruising 21 Ports Around the World, including Alaska and the Nordic Countries in 107 days

This voyage will offer the opportunity to experience very different and equally striking scenery around the world, including travel through two types of fjords – the verdant valleys with lush vegetation in Norway and the snow-covered fjords of Alaska with glaciers glistening under sunlight. The packed itinerary also includes beautiful cities, famous World Heritage sites, and relaxing locations in Europe, Central America, and beyond.

Also onboard this voyage will be a very special Peace Boat project marking eighty years since the end of World War II - “Time for Peace.” Rooted in Peace Boat’s founding philosophy of reflecting on the past to shape a peaceful future, the initiative will amplify the voices of those impacted by war, past and present. It will connect individuals and organizations dedicated to peacebuilding and conflict prevention around the globe. Among the participants will be members of the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize recipients Nihon Hidankyo (Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations), and representatives of the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize-winning International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN).  Click here for more information.
