Online Charity Concert with Venezuela's El Sistema (February 13)
On February 13, Peace Boat and a group of musicians from Venezuela will hold a joint online charity concert on the eve of Valentine's Day. All proceedings will go to the Webstival Music Foundation.
Since 2004, Peace Boat has established amicable bonds with El Sistema de Orquestas y Coros de Venezuela, with many young Venezuelan musicians boarding Peace Boat voyages over the years. During the COVID Pandemic, some of these youth, now fully-fledged professional musicians, established the Webstival Music Foundation to support music education by giving online lessons to children. Proceedings will support volunteer teachers and acquire musical instruments for the children enrolled in the platform. This concert will be by musicians who came on Peace Boat's 91st Global Voyage in 2016, symbolizing these bonds that overcome time and borders.
Tickets are for sale on Peatix. Prices range between 1,000 and 3,000 yen, depending on the amount you would like to donate. Participants will be sent a link to Youtube to watch the live streaming concert.

Important Notes: This event will be held in Japanese, but English and other languages speakers are welcome.
