NO WAR! STOP KILLING! 122nd Voyage Returns to Kobe Calling for Peace

Mar 30, 2026

On March 30, Peace Boat's 122nd Global Voyage returned to the port of Kobe, concluding its 107-day voyage around the world. Upon entering the port, a massive 30m x 5m banner reading "NO WAR! STOP KILLING!" was displayed on the ship's hull, while approximately 300 participants gathered on the deck to call for "NO WAR."

This demonstration called for an immediate halt to military attacks against Iran by the United States and Israel, as well as an end to attacks on civilians by Iran. It also expressed the shared deep desire for an early end to the ongoing wars and inhumane attacks in Ukraine, Gaza, and other regions across the globe.

Building on last year's project commemorating 80 years since the end of World War II, various initiatves took place throughout the 122nd Global Voyage under the theme "TIME FOR PEACE." As part of these actions towards nuclear abolition, Wada Masako, Assistant Secretary General of 2024 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Nihon Hidankyo, sailed onboard the ship to share her testimony, and lectures were also held to learn about the history of nuclear violence in the Pacific. The collaboration with the Nobel Peace Center in sharing the onboard outreach edition of the exhibition "A Message for Humanity" continued, with hundreds of people around the world visisting. Peace Boat will continue to share the commitment to peace nurtured through these experiences both within Japan and internationally.
