Coinciding with the youth-led Global Climate Strikes taking place this September, Peace Boat has published the report of the third edition of the Ocean and Climate Youth Ambassadors Programme. On September 2, the 102nd Global Voyage departed from Yokohoma. This voyage will visit 23 destinations and will return to Japan on December 12. During every Peace Boat voyage, a wide range of guests from all over the world join the participants onboard, including university professors, photographers, journalists, civil society representatives and artists.

The Asia-Pacific Climate Week (APCW) in Bangkok, Thailand, wrapped up on September 6, with participants agreeing on a set of key takeaways on what steps urgently need to be taken for the region to be able to profit from the advantages of the transition to low carbon and to be able to build resilience to the worst impacts of climate change.
