Peace Boat's 99th Global Voyage for Peace departed from Yokohama, Japan on September 1 and returned on December 17, 2018, after visiting 24 ports in 23 countries. This voyage allowed participants to experience different seasons and charms of both hemispheres while traveling around the equator.
Highlights included the majesty of the Northern Lights in Iceland, exploring the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, and even lounging on some of the most beautiful tropical beaches in the world. After passing through the Suez Canal, the ship, for the first time, visited the Greek island of Corfu, as well as Durrës, Albania.
