Peace Boat's 98th Global Voyage for Peace departed from Yokohama, Japan on May 8 and returned on August 22, 2018 after visiting 25 ports in 23 countries. Marking 35 years of history as an organization, this anniversary voyage will pack favorite destinations in the northern hemisphere. Highlights included sailing through the Norwegian Fjords and the Arctic Sea where participants will experience the midnight sun, and visits to New York and Havana next to each other - which has become possible only recently. The voyage also visited Cartagena, Colombia and Puntarenas, Costa Rica, to learn about peace initiatives in each of these countries.
