Nobel Peace Prize Laureate to launch new report on nuclear weapons investment
Press conference in Tokyo, March 7 2018

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate ICAN (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons), together with Dutch NGO PAX, will tomorrow release the 2018 'Don't Bank on the Bomb' Report, detailing investment in nuclear weapons companies around the world.

ICAN International Steering Group member Peace Boat will host a press conference to release this report, introducing its findings and particularly those related to Japanese banks and financial institutions, presented by Kawasaki Akira.

Former Australian Senator and ICAN Ambassador Scott Ludlam will also attend the press conference. Mr Ludlam's remarks will report on the "Making Waves" speaking tour of Japanese and Australian nuclear survivors, co-organized by ICAN and Peace Boat during Peace Boat's voyage through Oceania in January-February 2018. Mr Ludlam travelled onboard Peace Boat from Fremantle, Australia (January 25, 2018) until its return to Yokohama, Japan on March 4, 2018.
