The 87th Global Voyage for Peace departed from Yokohama, Japan on April 12, 2015, and returned on July 25, 2013. It visited several Scandinavian ports in the Baltic Sea and included scenic cruising through the Sognefjord in Norway, Cape Farewell's Bay in Greenland and Newfoundland's Bay in Canada. The voyage was also hosting to the 8th "Global Voyage for a Nuclear-Free World: Peace Boat Hibakusha Project", in which a delegation of Hibakusha (survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki) travel onboard Peace Boat to give a personal testimony and call for the abolition of nuclear weapons.
