Mar 9, 2011 - Fundraising Event for Christchurch Earthquake Appeal
Considering the large earthquake that has hit Japan and the subsequent tsunami and aftershocks, this event has been postponed. Thank you for your understanding.

The New Zealand city of Christchurch was struck by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake on February 22, causing widespread devastation to the city. The quake caused significant loss of life and injury, as well as severely damaging buildings, infrastructure and services. Those who survived the earthquake continue to live in difficult conditions, with over 7000 people still without power and a state of emergency still in effect. The New Zealand government started an official earthquake appeal that will be used to help the communities, families and people of Christchurch and the Canterbury region.

This Sunday, March 13, Peace Boat and Parties 4 Peace are holding a special event at Favela in Aoyama, Tokyo to raise funds for the victims of the Christchurch earthquake. The night will include top DJs, live painting, a belly dance show, and more. There will opportunities to win a hamper of fantastic food as well as wine, and a whole lot more. Every cent raised will go to the official Christchurch Earthquake appeal.

A donation at the door will get you in, and you can drop by anytime between 17:00 and midnight. Enjoy your Sunday and help make a difference for Christchurch!
