During the two day programme, experts from Colombia, Chile, Venezuela and Mexico discussed various concepts, policies, practices and experiences that build resilient communities. Participants in the seminar included students of architecture and engineering.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were recently adopted at the United Nations, and Goal 11: "Sustainable cities and communities" emphasises the importance of resiliency in cities and communities.

Participation in this seminar is an extension of Peace Boat's efforts for a peace which is not just the absence of war, but being able to live in a safe environment.
