May 20, 2014 - Peace Ball Futsal Charity Cup! Calling for participating teams
Registrations are now open for Peace Ball's Charity Cup, to be held on June 21 (Saturday) in Tokyo.

This year, as part of Peace Ball World Cup Campaign 2014, Peace Boat will be holding a charity futsal (futebol de salao) tournament, the "Peace Ball Cup", coinciding with Brazil's World Cup. Benefits from the tournament will be donated to Peace Ball's project to build a soccer field for the street children of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, together with local NGO Sao Martinho.

The Peace Ball Cup is open to anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality, and it will undoubtedly be a unique opportunity for international exchange through sports while supporting a great cause!

Peace Ball Cup
Date: 6/21 (Saturday) 13:00~17:00
Venue: @MIFA Football Park (Toyosu, Koto-ku, Tokyo)
*2 minutes walk from Shin-Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome line
*13 minutes walk from Toyosu Station on the Yurakucho line
*New venue to be opened in June

Tournament characteristics:
- 12 to 16 teams.
- Each match will be 10 minutes long.
- Each team will have the chance to play at least 5 matches.
- Mixed gender. Each team must have a mixed gender team in the field at all times.
- Rain or shine.

Participation fee:
Per team: 20,000 JPY
Early registration special fee: 19,000 JPY *For teams registered by the end of May *An extra discount of up to 1,000 JPY for teams who donate soccer balls is also available. Details below.
*All benefits of the tournament will be used for Peace Ball's campaign to build a soccer field for street children in Rio de Janeiro.

- Friendly matches under official Futsal rules.
- Five-a-side / Mixed gender / Free substitutions
- Volunteer referees. Team members might be asked to referee other matches.

Registration Conditions
- Registrations will be closed once we reach 16 teams. Please register in advance.
- Participation fee will be collected on the day of the tournament
- Cancellations possible until two weeks before the event. After that you will be asked to pay the full participation fee.
- The tournament will be carried out even if it rains.

We are also collecting soccer balls to donate to counterpartner organizations and communities in Brazil and around the world. Please bring any soccer balls you or your friends will like to donate.
*A special discount of 500 JPY per ball (up to 1000 JPY) will be given to each team.
