We welcome everyone, regardless of age, nationality, race, religion or gender. Here are some of the ways in which you can get involved with Peace Boat.
Onboard Volunteers circle

Peace Boat offers a great opportunity for those people with language skills to further develop their capacity while contributing to the strengthening of global civil society. Each voyage, Peace Boat recruits volunteer interpreters and language teachers to support its programmes onboard.

INTERPRETER — Peace Boat is currently recruiting English/Japanese and Spanish/Japanese interpreters for the 71st voyage departing Japan October 25, 2010 and returning January 18, 2011. >>READ MORE

ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS GET, Peace Boat's language training programme, is now accepting applications for English language instructors for the 72nd Global Voyage, which departs on January 23, 2011 and returns on April 18, 2011. The deadline for applications is Friday October 8, 2010. Interviews are scheduled to be held in Tokyo on November 5, 6 and 7 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), 2010. Telephone interviews for overseas applicants will be held shortly thereafter. (Interview dates are subject to change.)

PROFESOR(A) El programa de GET esta acceptando solicitudes para la posicion de profesor(a) voluntario(a) de espanol para nuestro viaje mundial 71º que sale el 25 de octubre del 2010 y regresa el 18 de enero del 2011. La fecha límite para recibir las solicitudes es el viernes 9 de julio del 2010. Las entrevistas serán realizadas en Tokio los días 6, 7 & 8 de agosto (viernes, sabado y domingo) del 2010. Las entrevistas internacionales serán a partir de entonces. (Las fechas de las entrevistas están sujetas a cambios).

Study Japanese & circumnavigate the globe – a once-in-a-lifetime study opportunity!

Peace Boat is now inviting students enrolled at universities around the globe who are highly motivated to study Japanese, communication ability and intercultural understanding, to apply. Recipients will study every day as they travel the globe in a total immersion environment of 700-1,000 Japanese people, with the goal of promoting and fostering friendship and spreading goodwill around the world. >>Read More
Individual or Institutional Partners circle
Peace Boat's work is carried out in partnership with individual or institutional partners. Specialists in the field of peace, human rights, the environment and sustainable development, as well as individuals working at the heart of the issues Peace Boat addresses are invited onboard as guest educators. In port, Peace Boat organises its activities in partnership with a wide range of institutions, including NGOs, civil society groups, student groups and volunteer organisations.
