Global Partnership for the Prevention for Armed Conflict (GPPAC)

Peace Boat is a founding member of the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) and since its official launch in 2005 has since acted as Regional Secretariat for GPPAC in Northeast Asia. GPPAC is a worldwide civil society-led network dedicated to building a new international consensus on peacebuilding and the prevention of violent conflict, with a strong focus on peace education. Peace Boat holds and participates in regular regional meetings focusing on issues such as the Six Party Talks and nuclear free zones, as well as Asia Pacific Forums to increase broader regional cooperation.

Northeast Asia Regional Peacebuilding Institute (NARPI)

Peace Boat is a founding steering committee member of the Northeast Asia Regional Peacebuilding Institute (NARPI). This is a place of (re)training for community leaders, students, NGO activists, professionals, scholars, religious leaders and government officials who are interested in deepening their theoretical knowledge of peace and conflict or sharpening their practical peacebuilding skills.
