Aug 29, 2013 - Emergency Action: NO ATTACK ON SYRIA!
The possibility of missile strikes by the United States military against Syria has recently been covered in the news. The reason given for this is the use of chemical weapons, but we should wait until a report has been made by a team of United Nations inspectors, and those who used said weapons should then be tried in a court of law. It goes without saying that military intervention should not be permitted without the consent of the UN Security Council, but such intervention would only inflict great harm on innocent civilians and exacerbate the situation in Syria.

The action detailed below is taking place in order to dissuade the United States government and its allies from taking military intervention. Please come with your own placards and banners. We will also submit a petition to the United States Embassy, so if you have a petition which you would also like to submit, please bring it with you.

If military action has begun by the time of this event, the action will be a protest demonstration.
